A farmer went to town with his dog and tied her up outside a bar while he stepped in for a drink.
After a while, the town policeman walked in and asked,
“Excuse me, sir… is that your dog outside?”
“Yes, officer. Why do you ask?” the farmer replied.
The officer said, “Well, I think she’s in heat.”
The farmer frowned. “No, no… I tied her up in the shade.”
The officer shook his head. “No, I mean… she’s looking for a mate.”
The farmer’s eyes lit up. “Ohhh, why didn’t you just say so? Go ahead—I’ve always wanted a police dog!”
