One day, during a grammar lesson, the teacher decided to give the class a little challenge.
“Children,” she said, writing on the board, “who can use the word beautiful twice in the same sentence?”
Several hands went up immediately.
The teacher smiled and called on little Suzie first.
Suzie stood up proudly and said, “My father bought my mother a beautiful dress, and she looked beautiful in it.”
“Very good, Suzie,” said the teacher. “That was a lovely sentence.”
Next, she called on Michael.
Michael cleared his throat and said, “My mother planned a beautiful banquet, and everything turned out beautifully.”
“Excellent, Michael,” the teacher said. “Very well done.”
Then she noticed Little Johnny waving his hand enthusiastically from the back of the classroom.
The teacher hesitated for a moment, knowing Johnny had a reputation for unusual answers, but finally said, “Alright, Johnny. Let’s hear yours.”
Little Johnny stood up confidently.
“Last night,” he began, “we were all sitting at the dinner table when my older sister looked at my father and told him she was pregnant.”
The whole class went quiet.
The teacher blinked. “And?”
Johnny continued,
“My father dropped his fork, stared at her, and said, ‘Beautiful… fucking beautiful!’”
