A kid is in his room, headphones on, controller in hand, completely locked into a video game.
His mother opens the door and says, “Honey, pause your game for a second. I want you to come meet my new boyfriend.”
The kid barely looks away from the screen.
“I’m kind of busy right now, Mom. Can you bring him in here instead?”
His mother sighs, then leaves.
About a minute later, the door opens again and a man walks in with a big friendly smile.
“Hey, champ! How you doing?”
The kid keeps playing and ignores him.
The man waits a second, then chuckles.
“Don’t like champ, huh? That’s fine.”
He steps a little closer and says:
“How about… BlueDragon72?”
The kid’s fingers freeze on the controller.
His character gets taken out instantly, but he doesn’t even notice.
Slowly, he turns his head.
“I haven’t heard that name since I was ten…”
He stares at the man’s face, trying to place him.
Then his eyes widen.
“No way…”
The man grins.
“Call of Duty, right?”
The kid’s face goes pale.
“It can’t be…”
The man smiles even wider and says:
“I told you I’d bang your mom.”
