Tim decided to marry his long-time girlfriend.
One evening, after their honeymoon, he was organizing his golfing gear while his wife stood nearby, watching him.
After a long silence, she finally spoke up:
“Tim, I’ve been thinking. Now that we’re married, maybe it’s time for you to quit golfing. You spend so much time on the course, and you could probably get a good price for your clubs.”
Tim’s face suddenly went pale.
She asked, “Darling, what’s wrong?”
“For a moment there, you sounded just like my ex-wife,” he replied.
“Ex-wife!” she exclaimed, “I didn’t know you were married before!”
“I wasn’t,” he answered.
