Her daughter Jenn Mann has verified that the famed songwriter, who had composed classics such as ‘Here You Come Again’ for country diva Dolly Parton and ‘You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’ for the Righteous Brothers with her husband Barry Mann, passed away on Thursday (01.06.23). Her daughter Jenn Mann also stated that her father, Barry Mann, had passed away.

She stated in an interview with TMZ that: “My mother, Cynthia Weil, was the best possible mother, grandmother, and wife for our family.” She was my best friend, my confidant, and my partner in crime. She was also an icon to me and a pioneer for women in the music industry.

Cynthia was recalled by her widower as his “inspiration” in life and as one of the “greatest songwriters who ever lived.” He co-wrote approximately 100 songs with his wife for music giants such as Elvis Presley, Dusty Springfield, and The Drifters. He thought of her as one of the “greatest songwriters” who had ever lived.

He said: “I’m a lucky man. My wife also happened to be one of the best composers in the world, so she served as both my soul and my source of inspiration.

Friends of the late Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee recognized the composer of ‘On Broadway’ as being one of the most “iconic” songwriters of her time as they recalled her ability to put together poignant lyrics that “touched the hearts” of millions of fans all around the world.
