A flight crew is landing at an unfamiliar airport, and as they start their approach, the pilot notices something…

Pilot: “Does that runway look a little short to you?”

Co-pilot: “Yep, sure does.”

Pilot: “I thought it was supposed to be longer…”

Co-pilot: “Same here.”

The tension rises as they prepare for the landing.

Pilot: “Alright, full flaps.”

Co-pilot: “Full flaps set.”

Pilot: “I want thrust reversers ready the second we touch down.”

Co-pilot: “Standing by.”

Pilot: “And full power after thrust reversers are set!”

Co-pilot: “Got it.”

They land with precision.

Pilot: “Okay, I’m aiming for the very end of the runway, and I’m standing on the brakes right after we touch. Stand by to reverse thrust!”

Co-pilot: “Roger that.”

They touch down, hit the brakes, blast the thrust reversers, and barely stop in time…

Pilot: “Whew, that was a short runway!”

Co-pilot: “Yeah, but hey… look how wide it is!”
