A criminal on the run dashes into the desert, desperate to escape the cops. But with barely any water, it doesn’t take long before the brutal sun starts taking its toll.
Just as he’s about to give up, he spots something in the distance. Could it be an oasis?! With a surge of hope, he stumbles toward it… only to find an old man sitting at a little stand—selling ties.
Gasping for breath, the criminal pants, “Hey, do you have any water?!”
The old man shakes his head. “Sorry, fresh out. But I’ve got some great ties! Just $5 each.”

The criminal groans. “Do I LOOK like I need a tie?! I should knock you out, but I need to find water first!”
The old man shrugs. “No need for threats, friend. But I’ll help you out anyway. Just head over that hill about 3 miles, and you’ll find a restaurant with amazing food and all the ice-cold water you can drink.”
The criminal grumbles but trudges off.
Hours later, the old man sees him crawling back over the dunes, exhausted. When he finally reaches the stand, he collapses on his back, barely whispering.
The old man leans in. “Everything okay?”
With his last bit of strength, the criminal croaks… “They won’t let me in without a tie…”
Moral of the story: Sometimes, the little things matter more than you think!
