After a lifetime of hard work, Grandma finally retired. At her next checkup, the new doctor asked her to bring a list of all her medications.
As he looked through them, his eyes suddenly widened.
“Mrs. Smith… did you realize you have a prescription for birth control pills?”
“Yes,” she said calmly. “They help me sleep at night.”
“Ma’am,” he replied, “there is absolutely nothing in these that could help you sleep!”
Grandma leaned over, patted his knee, and said,
“I know that, dear. But every morning, I grind one up and stir it into the orange juice my 16-year-old granddaughter drinks… and believe me — I sleep just fine.”
