Son: “Dad, I’ve fallen in love! She’s amazing, and I want to date her!”
Father: “That’s wonderful, son! Who is she?”
Son: “Sandra, the neighbor’s daughter.”
Father: Sighs “Oh, son… I wish you hadn’t said that. I need to tell you something, but you must promise not to tell your mother—Sandra is actually your sister.”
Heartbroken, the son keeps his distance from Sandra. A few months later…
Son: “Dad, I’ve fallen in love again! And she’s even more amazing!”
Father: “That’s great! Who is she?”
Son: “Angela, from the other house down the street.”
Father: Shaking his head “Oh no, son… Angela is also your sister.”
This happens several more times, leaving the boy furious. Finally, he runs to his mother in tears.
Son: “Mom, I’m so mad at Dad! I’ve fallen for six different girls, but I can’t date any of them because he says they’re all my sisters!”
His mother pulls him into a hug, smiling gently.
Mother: “Sweetheart, you can date whoever you want. Don’t listen to him—he’s not your father.”
