Little Johnny liked hanging out at the local market, but the other kids teased him, saying he wasn’t very bright.
To prove it, they’d offer him a choice between a nickel and a dime. Johnny would always take the nickel, and the kids laughed because they thought he didn’t know the dime was worth more.
One day, the shop owner pulled Johnny aside and said:
“Son, don’t you know a dime is worth more than a nickel?”
Johnny grinned and whispered back:
“Of course I do. But if I took the dime… they’d stop giving me money. And so far, I’ve saved up twenty dollars!”
