Two elderly women were sitting on a patio one afternoon, drinking tea and talking about their grandchildren.
One of them sighed and said,
“I don’t understand kids these days. I send my grandchildren birthday cards, gifts, and even very generous checks… and they still barely come visit me.”
The other old lady smiled and nodded said” Oh i too send cheques to my grandchildren and they visit me all the time!”
“Really?” the first woman asked. “You are so fortunate it’s great to have family around. That must feel wonderful.”
“No my grandchildren are as good as yours” the second woman replied.
The first lady leaned closer.
“What’s your secret?”
The second old woman took a slow sip of tea and grinned.
“I never sign the checks.” 😂
