One afternoon, a wife was spending some private time with her husband’s best friend while her husband was supposedly out for the day.
Everything seemed quiet and under control until the phone suddenly rang.
The man froze.
The woman calmly reached over, picked up the phone, and answered.
“Yes… uh-huh… okay… yes… that’s fine… bye.”
She hung up as if nothing had happened.
Her husband’s best friend stared at her nervously.
“Who was that?” he asked.
She smiled casually. “That was my husband.”
The man nearly jumped out of bed.
“Your husband?” he whispered in panic.
He immediately started grabbing his clothes, pulling on his pants, searching for his socks, and looking around the room like he expected the front door to burst open any second.
“Relax,” the wife said, watching him scramble.
“Relax?” he snapped. “Your husband just called!”
She nodded calmly.
“Yes, and there’s nothing to worry about.”
The man stopped for half a second. “What do you mean?”
She leaned back, smiled, and said:
“He just called to tell me he was out playing golf with you.”
