Paddy and Mick were in the bar one evening having a few beers when Paddy suddenly shook his head and said, “Life sure is getting messed up these days.”
“What do you mean?” Mick asked.
Paddy sighed. “Well, I helped my neighbor with something this morning.”
“And?” Mick asked, leaning in.
Paddy took a long sip of his Guinness, wiped the foam from his lip, and said, “As I was about to leave, she told me she was so grateful for my help… she could marry me!”
He stared at his glass and said, “Can you believe it? I do one nice thing for someone… and they want to ruin my life in return.”
